Another Bus Adventure!!!
It was Mia's birthday this Saturday and it was such an adventure to go here as Pre would put it. Mark, Brian and I met up with Vannie, Rochelle(Pre) and Kei at Food Choices in G4. We chatted awhile before leaving. Vannie had just come from a Mad Sci party with us guys coming straight from the house. Pre and Kei were late since something was wrong with the LRT they had to take a cab all the way from Taft. It was already 8:00pm when we started our bus adventure to go to Superville all the way in the South. Not that far if you were in California but we are talking about the Phillipines where everything taht should be 30 minutes away is atleast an hour long ride. So anyways we got into this bus that just had enough seats for us. the girls were able to sit together but we had to sit a chair form each other. As we got to Magallanes The bus was about half empty and we all could sit together. I find it such a pleasure to commute when Im with friends. Anyways like any good adventure the presence of danger is always close at hand. We didnt have wild alien beasts like in star wars or crocs in Indiana Jones. Oh ours was a lot worst than there paltry experiences!!! a lot more fierce and may I mention GROSS!!!! Our bus had roaches as "Joe's Apartment" a lot. Well ok I may be exagerating. they were not as big. Actually I dont think I ahve ever seen such tiny cross little things. Now I know what baby roaches look like. they were swarming on the walls opposite to where I was seated the ailse where I had decided to sit so I could be closer to the girls. It was realy gross you could just feel them crawling across your skin. I can just imagine its a good thing they didnt fly. The weird thing is when the bus started moving again it was if they were never there they just "poof" vanished. So ewverything got better ad we got of in Sucat to take a jeep to the Entrance of Superville. Pre was so funny coz she was insisting she was a kanto girl yeah right this coming from a girl that thinks a bus ride is an adventure. she is just such a baby girl and I mean that in a good way.

It was pass nine when we got to Mia's. I must say the food was really yummy. It was the perfect evening how could things go wrong when your with friends. Everybody was there. Mia looked great as always I guess a little more than usual since it was her birthday. As the night creeped slowly on us Mark, Jourdan and Vannie decided to have a small skit for Mia. It was just so much fun and it was really funny. There was aga me called freeze Tag which was also funny. Some of us honored her that night saying things about her and how proud we were of her. I wanted to say more but I found I could not. I would rather show how I feel about some one than saying it. Mia and all the girls in my family truly are my sisters. It was 12:30 when we decided to leave since we were going to go get the bus to go home. Stuart offered to bring us to Makati as we said our goodnights to Mia nd her family. Thus another great night ended.

Thought to self I am so blessed with so many beautiful friends each time I see them Its as if I reialize this thought for the first time. Im also blessed with brothers closer than any man can ask for. Lord thank you for turly blessinfg me.

Sad!!!
Well Im really sad today. Why you ask, it is because I will be out of work temporarily until PS has a bigger work load. Due to the low volume of calls that we are getting they have put on hold the schedules for part timers. Oh well. what am I going to do. I will not be able to check my mail, post blogs and check my friendster accounts. Most of all I will miss the friends I have made here at work. Isma, Jona, Tauf, Mitzi, and others who I have just met and was looking forward to getting to know better. Im about to log out to go pay some bills and the sun is out in all of it scorching glory.

Weird dream
I had a weird dream last night about that jar of mayo I bought last week. Anyways I go home and I find out the mayo is all gone. But the house was not my house it was a different house a lot nicer than mine but anyways in the dream that was the place. The Mayo jar was empty and Im like "Oh my Gosh" its empty!!! Enters my bro telling me he just transfered it to smaller jars there were three jars one a jar of mayo only smaller the other a plastic container and the last a thin jar that olives come in, but not of them was full my bro just filled them half way his reason being that it would be easier to handle. Dream ends. Weird huh?

Met up with some firends last night for a meeting regarding a reunion for our org back in college. We accomplished a lot plus we all had fun just catching up. Mish and Ikit I miss you guys so much.

We got ice cream cones from Mc Donalds to end the night. Yummy!

Watched three of the movies yesterday Maid in Manhattan was good, Legionaire was really bad, The Black Night thats one of the films which title I had forgotten anyways it also sucked ok, ok, ok it didnt suck that much it was funny in some parts so from sucky I'll change it to lame.

More movies
Im feeling really hungry right now. Think I'll have something at McDonlads. Looking forward to watching the movies I rented last night. I rented six films some good and some bad as my house mates would say. I rented the Legionaire starring Van Dam, A Jackie Chan movie The accidental spy, Maid in Manhattan "J-Lo", Signs which I have mixed emoitons in watching since I have recieved both positive and negative thoughts about it. A robert DiNiro film I cant remeber the name and another one same thing I dont remember.

Had sim calls today, that was fun.

Im reading Not Even a Hint by Joshua Harris, a book I will recommend to anybody. I can really relate to it. Its very good.

Im craving for green jello, I love lime flavored jello!!! Whole big vats of it. No matter how full you are or not hungry there is always room for jello.

I feel really cold rigth now. I think my butt just fell off and I didnt even notice hehehehe that is how cold it is here at work. I think Im going to get sick. It is scorching outside.

Reminds me of when i was a kid my bros and I would get these guppies and put them in cold water then drop them into hot or was it vice versa. Anyways the guppy would sink for a split second and then jump out dead. I know really cruel but I feel like a guppy right now.

I want popcorn and pop-tarts!!!!

She has such a nice smile ;) (Hahahaha I wont tell who)

A cool bus ride!
Well last night I went to church at galleria which I find myself doing more often these days. I still preferThe services at the fort but Im starting to like the ones in galle as well. Anyways the guess speaker last night was no other than MTV VJ/Actress/model Donita Rose!!! I must say she is even more Gorgeous in person than in t.v. especially now that shes with child. She has a glow that you only see on pregnant women the glow of life. She was funny and encouraging as she told here lifes testimony. Anyways enough of Donita. The word that night was powerful the praise and worship great what more can you ask for. I being content with what I had already was even blessed more since I got to spend time with some friends that I have truly missed.
We all got a bite at Mc Donalds, chatted awhile and we all had to go home. But low and behold it was not to end there now comes the part why it was "A cool bus ride!" So here I was expecting to say goodnight and bid a farewell to my friends when it ends up we were all taking the same bus going to makati. What made it special was the bus had lots of room at the back which we practiacally took over. It was like going out of town for a field trip a very short bus ride though. Jean a very good friends from college was a bit apprehensive since she had not been in a bus since high school. I think she was a bit scared since the bus was going fast and it was kind of bouncy what do you expect from buses here in Manila. It was really cute when she asked my bro, Brian, "we're ok, right?" "Yes Jean" he replied. The other peeps with us were two of the Lareza sisters Kirt mah frewnd, Linny(Red), Shar, Mark and his sister Sam.
It is always a pleasure spending time with the sisters its like you cant get enough of thier company. Anyways I was at the very back with Kirt and Linny taking shots of them with my phone I actually got quite a few good ones but every time I tried to get a good one of Kirt the bus would move. I really liked the one w/ Shar, Kirt, Linny and Jean together it was as if we were really on our way out of town. It ended all to soon as Mark, Bri, Sam, Jean and I got down at Pasong Tamo. I was not able to talk to Shar but all in all it was really fun. We got Jean a cab for her to go home to Merville. After that we went to Mark's got some of his things and we went home.
I love being able to spend time with my friends especially the ones I was with last night. They are my family outside my family some of them are even more family than my real one. So here's looking forward to the next Cool bus Ride.

About the movies I rented
Well we already know what I think of the Godzilla film, Resident Evil I watched about half way and I had to stop I just didnt like it, plus I really dont like scary films that scare me every so often as the film progress, I dont like being surprised in that sense. The Scorpion King was ok but I was expecting more than than what I saw. The Star Trek film I rented was ok but it was the wrong film what I wanted to rent was Star Trek: Nemesis man how stupid what a waste of 15 bucks. My only hope now is that the widow maker is good. I am keeping my fingers crossed. The thing about renting films is that when you get home you just wish that you had rented that other movie you were pondering on renting instead of that lame ass film you decided to get.

Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla
I went on a renting spree yesterday at the nearest ACA. I rented five films. Joy. Well actually I only wanted to rent four but the lady at the counter told me if I get another one I dont have to return it until tuesday so thats five days instead of just two days so I took it. Hmmm maybe she should be working for Mavcomm instead but then again I love renting movies. I rented 1.) Godzilla vs. Mecha -Godzilla 2.) The Widomaker 3.) Star Trek Insurrection 4.) Resident Evil and 5.) The scorpion King. Yes all guy films!!! I have this weird taste in movies nobody seems to like what i pick Mark said he would not watch any of it, Eboy just nodded and Bri approved of the Widowmaker and the Scorpion King.
Going back to the Godzilla movie, I rented it purely for the sense of nostalgia that I felt upon seeing the cover at the store. Sad to say it was not what I had expected. It was not anything like what I remembered the first time I saw it some 15 or 18 years ago. It was so fake and the ear piercing scream which is a sad excuse for a roar is just really annoying the story lame and I know that my I.Q. just dropped a few numbers maybe more that just a few. the dubbing was awful but hey I guess back then it was something else. I should have just left the tape at the store and just enjoyed remembering. Instead I had to go rent it and destroy that memory of what was a good film to a nine year old boy all those years ago.

Cant wait to watch the other films tonight and the days to come.
-----------

I bought a big jar of mayo yesterday it was cheap 362.75 only thats like saving atleast 150 pesos if I bought the smaller jars. I gave some to my older bro since it was a lot of mayo. I love mayo. Lance Im sorry but you are right Mayo is boring but that is what makes it great it is only limited by your imagination. Ok Yes same with vanilla ice cream but there are just times you cant beat vanilla because of its simplicity. Same as mayo it is only limitted by your imagination. I also bought a jar of garlc chilli. yumyum ; )

-----------

Today is my first day here at the new building (Export Bank Plaza). I like it here better than the Philam and JG Summit buildings. Although the A/C here is even colder than that of Philam. Thanks to whoever it was that contolled the temp to make it warmer. I really appreciate it. Atleast now limbs are not numb the temp right now is just perfect. Oh plus going here is even easier than going to Philam. I still take a trike but the walk is now a lot shorter.

Cat Rape!!!
Shocking title huh? Well the reason for this is. My bro and I saw these cats doing the deed. Can I call it that. Its like in some movies where the rapist surrounds the victim and just waits for the right time. The victim waits aswell thinking what to do and yet not running. Anyways it was a white cat(male) and a gray cat(female). Have you ever heard cats doing it? Its awfull rape is the only thing that will enter your head when you hear or see it. Tha male bites the scruff of the neck of the female with all four paws latched into the female. the deed is done in a few seconds probably not more than 10. There is no love what so ever in that. Can I use that word for animals anyways back tot he cats from last night. They were cirling each other and they were in a stand off just waiting, waiting who would make the first move. All the while the female meowing for help or pity. In the middle of that stand off another cat comes along and lurks to the back of the white one very slowly until its only about a foot away. They all stay in that position for awhile. Just when the white cat is about to make its move the other cat from the back attacks him and scares hem off the female gray runs of to freedom. The other cat must have been the mate. It was really funny to watchI was so tempted to get a gun and shoot them. Not with a real gun just a bb. But then again thats the natural way of life so i guess I'll let them be. Its just that they are just so noisy. Well thats all for now.

Synopsis Part II
Synopsis of Hudhud (continued)
Back at Kalbiyan, the town celebrates the marriage feast of Aliguyon and Indiduli. When the rice wine for the great drinkfest ferments, Aliguyon looks for sugarcane to sweeten it. He goes to his brother's plantation high up on a hill. As he enters the precints of the lonehouse, he is surprised to see Bugan, the scabbard-fitter maid. He tells his brother to renounce Bugan becasue she is already "used goods". With his honor at stake, Daulayan also turns his back on bugan and rejects her as his wife. Bugan's spirit is crushed an then chants, "What honor are men always talking about? They decide our honor and violate us if we do not give it to them".

Meanwhile, Bugan's brother, Dinulawan, having heard nothing of his sister, becomes worried. He deicides to roam about in search of her. Armed as if he were on the warpath, he attacks the first man he meets in Kalbiyan. An epic war ensues between Dinulawan's clan and that of Aliguyon's. When Bugan finds out about this war, she rushes to stop the fighting. Being a skilled warrior herself, Dinulawan calls on her to help defend their honor. But she refuses. She refuses to defend an honor defined by a few men, an honor that wastes lives. She declares to all the men who have spilled fresh blood, with the strength of one who found true honor, that she does not need, and never will need, a man to tell her whether she is honorable or not. Then she leaves everyone in silence, rises above the mountain terraces and follows the rhythm of the wind. By refusing to fight, she defeats all men, and earns the respect that women have lost before.

A Synopsis and some poetry
SYNOPSIS
Remember I watched this play called Hudhud well here is the Synopsis. See Jona Im finally posting it.

(Taken from the program of Hudhud)
Based on Episode I-IV of the Hudhud of Dinulawan and Bugan at Gonhadan, this play is a contemporary adaptation of The Fitting of the Scabbard Episode, as told and chanted by Apu Baket, an Ifugao woman of 80 years.

Bugan, a 17-year old Ifugao maiden of the Kadangyan(nobility) class, is urged by her brother Dinulawan to look for a husband from village to village by displaying her beauty and wealth. He gives her his precious scabbard and its belt, and tells her to offer it for fitting to any young she may meet in the villagesand to stay with him whom the scabbard would fit. This scabbard would fit. The scabbard fits no one except the wealthy and handsome Aliguyon from the villageof kalbiyan. However, Aliguyon is already set to marry Induduli, who has alread bore him a son. Although smitten with Bugan's beauty, he cannot just repudiate Induduli for Bugan. When Bugan discovers this, she demands to get the scabbard back but Aliguyon forces his "knife" into Bugan's "scabbard" and "blood gushes between her legs". Seeing this, Induduli concludes that the fitter-maid is out to seduce Aliguyon and she drives Bugan away. Aliguyon turns his back on Bugan and she runs away in great humiliation. Not only is she rejected by the Kalbiyan community, she also feels the rejection by her own brother becasue he Merely gave his scabbard in order to get rid of her. Bugan becomes deeply ashamed and dares not go home.

She roams around for several weeks, holding the scabbard, and arrives at a lone house on top of a hill. As fate would have it, Daulayan, the lone-house dweller, turns out to be the elder brother of Aliguyon. Bugan's beauty enchants Daulayan as Daulayan's eyes pierce Bugan's heart. Although the scabbard does not fit him, she still decides to stay and become his wife.

To be continued I'll be posting the continuation on my next post.

POETRY
Here are some poems that I found when I was in College I really liked them so Im posting it. I may have switched the authors so sorry for that.

Trying to Describe
By Martin A. Draughon

The joy that I have...
The peace that I feel...
The love that I share...
Its all very new,
but "Oh", it is real!
It fills my heart, soul and mind
every fiber of my being.
It overwhelms me at times
and it is often hard to describe.
It keeps me intoxicated
with a clean, pure, "perfect high".
Im changed into another person,
someone I never knew,
a better, kinder, more loving one
that I want to share with you.

I Was But One
By: James Session

I was but one gaze out the window,
peering through the uncompromising haze,
searching for beauty.
I was but one walking silently through this crowded nightmare,
pleadingfor mercy and justice.
I was but one shedding dry tears,
tolerating the jagged emptiness incarceratting my heart.
I was but one imprisoning my agony,
tormenting the pain,
allowing no escape.
I was but one wearing a mask, allowing only my eyes to speak,
listening to the surrounding deafness.
I was but one when you shattered the windows to my soul,
yielding a gentle tear to carress my cheak releasing my fears,
and causing me to love you unlimited and endlessly.

Just a song
I was looking at my year book last night circa 1987. I was in grade three back then. It was very nostalgic looking at those old pics. While looking through the yearbook I came upon a song that I really liked back then and still do actually. This was the grad song of the very first senior batch in my High school back when it only had grades 1 to 8. Im not sure of the title though I think its called Friends Forever or something like that. Who wrote it Im not sure either but I really like it and I only know how the last part goes. I have all the lyrics but I just remeber the last part.

Memories of tears and laughters
All the hopes and joys we knew
We'll keep them in our hearts hereafter
Cause a chapter in our lives is through

But we'll be as close as always
It wont even seem we've gone
Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Would keep the love that keeps us strong

All the faith and love you've given
The silent ache goodbye's can bring
Forgotten lines of poems half written
Remembered fragments of broken dreams

Here in my heart, Forever
Here in my heart they all would stay
Until we're back to sing together
This fading song of yesterday

Friends are friends forever
If the Lord is the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
Cause the welcome will not end
Though its hard to let you go
In the fathers hands we know
A lifetime is not to long
to live as friends

Mavcomm is back! Its been a month and a half since my last call for this client and now its back. I had four calls today One wrong number and the rest were all good but I was not able to convert. I hope this is not a sign of the future. Nah I beleive everything will be better Im just a bit rusty plus the DR Tool has not been updated yet with the right info. We are now to be called Global Satellite instead of Direct Satellite. I think has a better and stronger ring to it. Im really looking froward to the incoming calls and the insentives hehehehe :P did I spell that right? Its all about the money.

GLOOM!!!
Well for some reason Im just really depressed today. You know what I mean? Well for those of you who have no idea what Im talking about. Its this heavy feeling in your chest and just all over your being. To the point that I want to vommit. Its this feeling of "Gloom" you get? Anyways thats how I feel today. I dont know the cause. I just feel I have so much against me and I have no idea what to do or what area to take on first. I fear that this feeling may turn in to flood that would just sweep me away. Its like Im a dam and double the amount of water Im suppose to be holding is being poured into me. My strength gives an inch at a time with every wave that pushes at my walls. Waves that threaten to break it at any moment. How long will I last.

Results from last night walk.
Well i was not able to break my 45 minutes it took me exactly 48 minutes to reach Stuarts house. Im ok with that its a working progress. Dinner as I was expecting was just blissful. There was bangus with lots of garlic, for thsoe of you who does not know what bangus is its milkfish, there was also adobong manok and baboy and some ginatang puso ng saging. Aww man my mouth was watering last night. Come to think of it it still is.

Jona I was able to find a way to save me another 11 pesos. I take a jeep from Ayala going to Zapote and J.P. Rizal it actually passes by my place well about a block from it. So Commute expense is cut from 30 pesos back and forth to just 8 pesos. Oh man thats like enough for two more days of back and forth savings. oh yeah.

Happy about the jeep.
Im happy today coz I just found out I could take the jeep to go to work instead of taking a trike whcih is 11 pesos more. Go figure. Anyways it started with me taking the jeep to work why because I just wanted to know where the jeep would pass. Yes I know I have been staying here in makati for the pass 4 months. Well Im sorry if I still have not figured out all the routes within the area. Anyways I took the Jeep going to Ayala and it passed by Paseo about a 4 or 5 minute walk to where I work. Two good points I get to go to work for a cheaper fare and I dont have to walk that far. Hmmm......11 pesos does add up you know.
-----------
Im really hungry right now but I dont have any money as in zero well not really zero more like 11 pesos. I guess I have to wait for dinner. Its a good thing Im having dinner at Stuarts, food at Stuarts house is always good. So in the mean time I have to be content with tea. Its actually quite good. I just wish there was honey instead of sugar. I like honey with my tea. Dont worry I wont drink three cups like I did with the coffee. Well thats all for now. I have to go back to work. by the way I have been here for two hours and so far I have had one ghost call. I miss making sales. I have to look for another job.
-------------
I timed myself this pass two weeks how long it takes me to go from work to to dasmarinas village via McKinley gate. The first time I think it took me like 55 minutes. Lat week I think I did it in 45 min. I dressed up for that today. Now Im wearing sneakers and shorts. So Road watch out. I love walking in the early evening I actually look forward to Thursday afternoons and my walks. It gives me time to think about different things and sometimes its a good time to not think at all. I think I'll try to do this more often. In the evenig of course since I dont want to beall sweaty before work starts. I'll post the results of tonights walk if Im able to beat my time. By the way I dont rush going there I do take my time which I think is part of the fun in walking since you take your time your not as tired as when your in a rush even if the distance is shorter. I guess this is a good start before going to the gym again.

---------------
Nways Im here at PS today and Im sorta happy coz I got double shift today from 8:00am to 12:00nn and back here again at 2:00pm to 6:00pm. this means I dont have to go to work tomorrow. COOL!!! Hey wait that means I wont be able to check my mail and all the other stuff I would do if I was at work but then again I can sleep in. I have to weigh the pros and cons. Hmmmm...... I think I'll take the day off and be happy about it.

As of the moment Im munching on some peanut butter creams by Presto, and some Spring Onion Crackers from BluSkies. No I am not on a diet. Im just trying to save some dough plus this way I dont have to go up and down to get some food. Its actually quite good.
---------------
Im really quite sleepy right now. Im having this very vivid imagination of a nice warm bed with nice soft pillows a thick comforter and the aircon set on high. Bliss absolute bliss!!!
---------------

Oh I just rememberd I went to a family reunion a few week ago and man I must say the food was superb. Did you ever wish you had two stomachs? Well if you have not the food that night would make you think of it. There was Lechon Baka!!! A big ass Baka!!! One whole calf of a baka!!! Now that I got my point across. It was just yummy to quote Angela a friend It was just "blissful" it was bliss I tell you. I could have died and gone to heaven. Well not really. There was also lechon de leche which I hardly touched coz of the beef!!! BEEF, BEEF, and more BEEF!!! I went home that night knowing that I would be dreaming of that juicy, heavenly, scrumptous, heaven on earth, gift from God BEEF!!! Which I did. The next day we had it for lunch. I wish I could have shared the experience with you all. I really feel sad for vegetarians. Well its been almost two weeks since that day and Im still looking for it. Maybe on my birthday if I have enough money I'll have one hehehehehehe. Lord please answer my prayer. Bye for now.

Hudhud
I watched a play yesterday. A friend of mine was one of the cast. It was actually pretty good. Hudhud is a cahnt from the Ifugao region and its a love story. Dont ask me who the characters were I cant remember the names. I mean how can you with names like Apo Baket, Bungan etc. It was doen in chant. I could understand some of the words but mostly I looked at the screen so I could understand ths story. I think I'll post the summary next time. I forgot to bring it with me. I love going to plays especially when Im wth my friends. This time I watched with my Bro.
Vannie our friend was quite lovely that afternoon in an ethnic kind of way. Im really looking forward to watching more of her shows in the future. We sat with these group of americans who asked us if we could translate if ever they could not understand it. We said sure but it was going to be hard to do so since it was in chant. The costumes and the stage were wonderfully made and all the performers had all thier parts down. All in all a very good and etertaining afternoon.
--------------------
She Im sorry for not watching your play. I promise to watch next time.
--------------------
Jona Im done. I'll post the summary on my next blog. which I really dont know when.
